Assistant Professor Wen-Yi Tsai and students from our institute were honored to participate in the "National Health Research Institutes (NHRI) 30th Anniversary Global Public Health Summit."

Summit Theme The theme of the summit was "Reshaping Global Health Responsibilities: Investing in People, Building the Future Together." It emphasized the critical importance of "Investing in People" to establish a more resilient global health system.

Key Topics & Speakers The symposium focused on critical issues including Universal Health Coverage (UHC), Health Security, One Health Governance, and Global Health Diplomacy.

Several distinguished speakers were invited to address the summit, including:

  • Dr. Chen Chien-jen, Former Vice President of Taiwan

  • Dr. Lo Yi-chun, Deputy Director-General*, Taiwan CDC

  • Professor Martin McKee, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM)

  • Professor Teo Yik Ying, National University of Singapore (NUS)

Impact & Vision Through this event, our faculty and students engaged with top domestic and international experts. Together, they explored how to shape Taiwan's strategic blueprint for global health through policy innovation and capacity building in the face of global challenges, while also emphasizing talent cultivation. This meeting provided a valuable opportunity for the academic community to deepen its understanding of global health governance.
