The Fifth Taipei and New Taipei Forum on Law and Biopharmaceutical Technology successfully concluded on October 17, 2025, at the College of Law, National Taipei University. This year's forum was hosted by the College of Law at National Taipei University and co-organized by the Graduate Institute of Health and Biotechnology Law at Taipei Medical University and the Institute of Technology Law at National Tsing Hua University.

Continuing its tradition of diversity, the theme of this year's forum was "Medical Disputes, Smart Healthcare, and Sustainable Development: The Establishment and Practice of Law." It brought together a wide range of scholars, judges, physicians, lawyers, and other professionals from the legal, medical, and practical fields. They gathered to discuss the current system and practices for medical disputes, look ahead at the legal challenges of smart healthcare applications, and engage in cross-disciplinary dialogue on legal issues related to sustainable development.

We are grateful for the enthusiastic participation of all our distinguished guests and the tremendous support from the host and co-organizing institutions, which ensured the success of the forum. We look forward to continuing the promotion of exchange between diverse fields like medicine and law, sparking more possibilities for innovative knowledge and practical cooperation in the future.
